Nice to see more local craft beers.
Will the brew location on Norton be a functioning bar? Its neighbor to the south will be Commons at Grant, which could make for an interesting dynamic.
Could be a good location for a nice open patio.

Why are the hops and barley blue? :P Seems like the colors should be reversed.

Another great location would be Oak Street in Olde Towne East for a new brewer - it's downtown, but not downtown...just an idea and probably a little cheaper real estate

Do you mean the Commons at 3rd? Because the Commons at Grant is located downtown.

As far as an interesting dynamic, I would be more worried about carryouts that sold 12 packs of Milwaukee's Best Ice...

Zauber Brewing Co. launching in Columbus
Business Profiles — By Walker Evans on December 23, 2011Many people consider beer to be one of life’s simple enjoyments, but the process of opening a brewery can be one of the more challenging types of small businesses to launch. It takes a very specific type of person with equal parts creativity, enthusiasm, responsibility and craftsmanship. A good sense of humor doesn’t hurt either.

Try Zauber Brewing’s First Beer March 15 at Jury Room
Written by Cheryl Harrison on March 14, 2012 in Beer
I’ve been excited for a while about the opening of Zauber Brewing, aka Z Beers, the brainchild of owner and brewmaster Geoff Towne. While the “official” opening will likely take place later this month, Geoff told us that Zauber is having a soft opening this Thursday March 15 at the Jury Room. You’ll have the chance to try Zauber’s “Vertigo,” a German-style Hefeweizen. The beer will be available as soon as the bar opens at 11am.

Zauber ‘Vertigo’ Beer Review and Tap Tour to Try the Rest
Written by Sage Wolfe on March 20, 2012
[i]Vertigo is 5.4% ABV with 12 IBUs (for the beer nerds out there, it’s a perfect fit for BJCP category 15A). It’s pale yellow in color and quite cloudy due to the wheat malt. There’s an intense banana ester aroma, and a strong but less intense clove phenolic smell. There’s also a spicy, grassy noble hop aroma in the background. The flavor begins with sweet banana, transitioning to German pilsner grain and ending with a medium dry, mineral-laden finish. The same clove phenols present in the smell come through to the taste and are unfortunately a bit sharp on the palate. I believe this could be corrected by toning down the phenols, but the beer also needs a bit more body and sweetness, and a lot more carbonation. This would offset the phenols, enhance out the banana flavor, and make a much better beer. It’s a good first effort, but needs tweaked.
