This song was pretty famously sampled, and I thought I'd throw it up here and see how quickly you guys could name the song that samples this.

The source is Them (with Van Morrison) singing Bob Dylan's "It's all over now Baby Blue". It's a great cover of the song, and I've been listing to it all morning.

I have a few more for you to guess once you get this one.

We have a winner.

The Beck song is a totally new song, but I always thought that Odelay had some Dylan influence to it.

Patinat: The zombies song came out in 1968 and the Them song came out in 1965(IIRC). Both were English rock, so I'm guessing you're picking up come cross pollination there. That is a great song though (actualy the whole album is great). Sadly I can't think of who sampled it, though I'm sure someone has.

Hehe... I had a folding turntable like that.

So I broke down and looked at whosampled.com and I see 4 possible answers for "Time of the Season". 2 are pretty standard hip-hip reworkings/covers with the beat and some vocals and there are 2 that cut up and sample.

One utilizes the sample pretty prominently, the other cuts the sample up pretty well and drops the signature organ and bass sound out. The second one was pretty big in 2008.
