I liked the fair weather car thread. Now it's the time of year to pick your favorite ALL weather driving cars. This doesn't mean your favorite winter beater! We already know that the Argyle Honda Accord can't be topped. Nice cars that are also good in nasty weather.

my '98 saturn station wagon with electronic traction control.
I have yet to find a situation that has ever been a real problem to drive through. And that includes near white-out conditions on icy mountain roads.
All the weight is on top of the computer managed drive wheels, braking, cornering, and acceleration even on slick roads is absolutely no problem.
And the rest of the car weighs almost nothing (2400 lbs total) so I still manage to get 33-35 miles/gal on the highway.
Why doesn't GM still make these? I have no idea. They sold like hotcakes.

My Honda Fit handles really well. I was surprised the first time I had to drive it on ice. For a subcompact, I'm really impressed.
I'm also not a person who drools over cars, for what it's worth. Practicality is the name of the game.

Motorist wrote Subaru Brat. All wheel drive, great mileage, turboed, and you can throw two people in the back seats for extra weight. Never driven one but in my imagination it's a great car to drive in any weather.
the brat was cool, nice take on the el camino! My uncle had a brat. he took us through the woods once. we were in the back and there is no protection from branches back there whatsoever! :lol:
