Greetings Young Professional!
This is your chance to voice your opinion and provide comments to one of Central Ohio’s Leading Young Professional Organizations. The survey only takes five minutes to complete, so please simply click the link at the bottom of the page.
Information collected from this survey will help YPC Leadership in executing program development, communication and general direction of the YPC organization. Specifically our objectives include:
Identify ways to improve the overall direction of YPC
Understand current membership satisfaction
Understand the reasons people join YPC
Determine the value of being a YPC member
Determine why some people are/are not active in YPC
Identify programming ideas and overall feedback
Understand how to increase group awareness
Understand how to effectively communicate with members
Understand the group demographics
Thank you for your time and cooperation. Your opinion does matter and we look forward to seeing you at a future YPC event.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but what constitutes YOUNG?

if you have to ask...

I really hate the term young professional. It sounds like you're a stepping stone from being professional!

OTOH, I do think there are certain things that time and experience give you that YP don't have, so being a YP is kind of a stepping stone.
but cheesy term none the less...

We struggled with that term on the "Young Professionals Commission", now renamed Create Columbus. I'm superficial enough to say that I would never willingly associate myself with a brand name like "young professional". I can't stand the name or connotation either.

I've actually had the pleasure of speaking to the Columbus Y-P's and they are a group that is very receptive to making change in mass transit, how we develop land, sustainable practices, etc. They are very much in favor of intercity passenger rail, light rail, streetcars and how that will impact making Columbus a place to be.
The organization is run from the Columbus Chamber of Commerce.

Reminds me of Thanksgiving when I was 7 years old and sat with other children at a folding table adjacent to where the adults were eating.

i think i read somewhere that the witching hour when your heart turns from young to old and bitter is 35. i have no idea what happens if you reach that golden age and aren't yet 'professional.'
"Create Columbus" seems more tied to spirit than actual age.

Great... I'm 36. I'm also underemployed, so I'll leave the survey to the members of the kickball team.
How odd you use the term "witching hour". That was the name of my radio show in college (and it had NOTHING to do with the Anne Rice novels).

The YP survey has age brackets for 36-40 and then 41+...so maybe we have a few years left.
I can also attest that the Kickball team has at least one member, ahem, above age 35. Dumb sports should not have age limits.
I never really read Anne Rice. But I also frequently use the term witching hour when refering to 9:00pm at Spice or any of the bars around there. I presume with that name your radio show might have revolved around post-punk or goth? if so, have you noticed the line-up of concerts in Ohio this week - Cure in Cleveland tomorrow, Peter Murphy here on Friday. it's a great throwback.

Actually, it was totally cross genre as long as the singer was female. The title came from Kate Bush's "Waking the Witch". It was a fun thing to play at the top of the hour in the morning, knowing it would freak out people using the station as their alarm clock.
But we digress...

This survey is for the non-profile group "Young Professionals of Columbus":

Undoubtedly, the authors arrived at this conclusion after analyzing the results of a carefully designed experiment with treatment and control groups.
