Yerba Buena (Aka El Arepazo Mobile) debuts in Clintonville

It is interesting to see something come full circle. In the case of Yerba Buena it was serendipity for me. I was looking for my lost muse, having misplaced it when I stumbled on my life path this month. I was looking for something to recharge and refocus. Got it. I found it while driving home with a Hounddogs Pizza in my car. My first impression was that someone was selling a food trailer. I pulled in to check the price. Then I saw that someone was opening a food trailer called Yerba Buena. This was muy bueno because Yerba Buena is the mobile version of El Arepazo which means great food within walking distance of my house. El Arepazo started as a stall at the Latino Festival – then became a restaurant (which is still open) now they are heading back to their al fresco roots with a mobile food venture.

We had the patacon, arepa venezeula and chorizo on Friday. I could eat here 3-4 times a week, easy. Ray Ray's has a serious contender for best food truck. Two words: cilantro sauce.

Latin grill puts its food on wheels

The owner of the Venezuelan restaurant El Arepazo in Pearl Alley Downtown has officially opened a second location - on wheels.
Yerba Buena Latin Grill, a high-tech food truck, made its debut at festivals around central and southern Ohio in April and has settled in every Wednesday through Saturday at a Clintonville location, at 4080 N. High St.

tried this last thursday. knocked my socks right off. nothing like a plantain picnic in the park of roses . . .
and yeah, that spicy cilantro sauce is amazing!

Well it was short but sweet. Looks like Yerba Buena is being pushed out of their location in Clintonville.

It's too bad, I really enjoyed having them in the neighborhood and so did alot of other people. I guess another community will get to benefit from the short-sightedness of DeFourney and his ilk.

I just mentioned this in the "Foodtrucks in Clintonville" thread, but this sucks!! I live in Clintonville and want more food like this in my neighborhood, not less!!

I realized this is almost next door to my nephew's aikido class on Saturdays.
unfortunately, said class is at 9 in the morning.
I sat and stared at the closed truck for 10 solid minutes.
