I am putting together a music project for the first time since I moved here. I have already invested in re buying some of the gear I shed when I left LA but it's getting expensive. I wanted to see if anyone has a decent keyboard (preferably 88 key weighted but beggars and all) for sale or lend? Or maybe lend then sale? I think Niki would like to see some sounds start flowing out of the basement before any more cash flows.
I am also looking for a few good horn players and strings that might have an interest in playing standards about once a week.

Jazz standards?

@Jazzypants, Yes. Cole Porter type stuff. I might need someone to play said keyboard too, if you happen to do that.

I am only 'read what's on the page' level keyboards or else I'd love to :) I know plenty of actual jazz musicians though. Are you trying to put together a regular group or just futzing around for fun? (are gigs an eventual goal?)
You might see if you can spread word through jazzcolumbus.com too or go to the Tuesday night jams at Ruby Tuesdays or Park Street Tavern.
