I saw a post somewhere that they had a working "Fix-it" video game at the Gateway that folks could play.
There is also a Fix-It game in the Apple App store for iPhones/iPads.
Very cool!
You can also play it online, but it's not quite the same. ;)

Saw this last weekend and I fully enjoyed it. Kids and adult will be entertained. Great for the video game nostalgia, and it was a surprisingly touching movie.
I read a brief review last week that says that some of the "Hero's Duty" segment is a bit intense for young kids. Lots of frantic action and shooting that could be scary for say... a five year old. Would you agree? Debating over whether or not to take my son. I think he'd love the rest of it. ;)
I'd agree the scenes with the bugs can be intense as they are big and can be scary. But the intensity may be due to the chaotic-ness of all the bugs along with teh shooting by the soldiers. However they don't spend too much time in hero's duty. If you had to cover the eyes of your son when the bugs are on screen, it would probably cover about 20 minutes?
With that said there were plenty of kids in the theater and I have no kids myself.
Cool, thanks. He's not seen too many movies in the theatre, so I know that the big screen and loud volume can be a little much for small kids when the action gets intense. Something we've all become desensitized to after years of exposure as adults. ;)
Finally saw this today at a matinee at The Lennox. Absolutely great movie. Loved all of the video game references from the choppy animation of the older 8bit era characters to Street Fighter II to Dance Dance Revolution to Pac Man to First Person Shooters.
Voice acting was all top notch. And lots of great humor that wasn't just knowing winks over kids heads... a lot of great subtle facial expressions and reactions from characters that could have come out of an episode of Arrested Development.
Will certainly watch it again and again in the future.
And had no problem with kids being scared during the intense scenes, I think because we had a larger group of kids with us and they were just having a good time with each other.
One of my favorite films of the year. ;)
Glad to hear you and the kids enjoyed it! Agree on the voice acting, especially sarah silverman's performance.
Yeah, I didn't mind her at all, which was nice. Sarah Silverman is best in small doses, IMHO. I enjoy her comedy, but it becomes grating after awhile as there's not much variety to it. ;)
Jack McBrayer couldn't have been more perfect. I think he's probably an easy guy to typecast, but I thought Fix-It Felix Jr worked pretty well being pretty much a video game version of Kenneth Parcell.
Yeah, I loved the movie as well. And nothing tops Q*bert!!!
