Given the increasing speed of development of designer drugs from laboratories that mimic the effects of existing scheduled substances, isn't legalization nearly a moot point?

I read an article the other day that the U.K. has become the designer drug capital with its ability to produce new drugs quickly after an existing designer one gets banned.

People are going to act like children whether drugs are legal or not. I guess I wouldn't mind terribly if marijuana were legalized, but how would you ensure people aren't getting high around their kids? Parents who smoke pot in front of their kids are some of the shittiest people around.

Does that apply to parents who have wine or beer at a meal with their kids?

Unless dad or mom wants to share a little of their beveridge with the kids. A practice common in Europe.

Car exhaust is everywhere ... that's something we just have to get used to. Pot smoke is offensive, like the smoke from its sister, the common cigarette. Personally, I think if you're going to smoke anything in cars, it's only polite to leave the windows rolled completely up. If a smoker doesn't like the smell of it in his own car, why on earth would I want it in mine. They really need to further define that law we passed to cover this open window thing. People trailing cigarettes out of car windows, etc. is just totally getting out of hand, and if pot comes into the picture, it will only get worst. I am in favor of legalizing pot, but there will have to be some controls on where one is allowed to do it and under what conditions for the sake of the non-smoking majority.

So if I shread it up into small pieces and snort it, it will get me high? Probably not, but trailing smoke is most disgusting to the unwilling imbiber. I don't carry much cash, my entire life is on credit, I just have the bank pay the cards off each month, which apparently is a wise decision ... I certainly would not want cocaine residue lurking in the bottom of my pocketbook.
