On April 30, 2011, WOSU TV will air Chefs in the City, a culinary event featuring WOSU hosts Bill Schiffman and Boyce Lancaster and the legendary Chef Jacques Pépin. One of America's best-known chefs, cookbook authors, and cooking teachers, Jacques Pépin has published 26 books and hosted a series of 10 acclaimed public television cooking programs including More Fast Food My Way, which currently airs on WOSU Plus. Now in its fifth year, WOSU’s Chefs in the City event will showcase cooking demonstrations, delicious dishes from a variety of local chefs, a book signing with Jacques Pépin, an online and silent auction, and more.
Chefs in the City will be taped on Thursday, April 21, with a live audience, from 5:30pm to 9:30pm in WOSU's Battelle Studio at COSI (333 West Broad Street in Columbus). Both local and national celebrity chefs will be showcased and food and drink will be provided to audience members throughout the evening. Guests are served samples of dishes in a spectacular multi-course taster meal in front of chefs demonstrating on a beautiful, full-functioning kitchen set, making for a tantalizing atmosphere.
A limited number of tickets for the taping will go on sale at 10am on Tuesday, February 1. Prices range from $150 to $400 per person depending on the table location. Visit Chefs in the City website or call (614) 292-4337 to purchase tickets.
