Wow is right. I had the unique pleasure of taking care of Team USA on their last trip to Columbus when they played Japan. Wow. Nice ladies. Beautiful, too. Many could easily be models. Hearing and reading about Hope Solo today is truly gratifying, but not all that surprising because I knew she was special the moment I met her. After they beat Japan and left Columbus, I watched a video about her recent debilitating surgery, and I leearned part of the story behind this amazing woman.
The US Soccer site has a great collection of videos of the players and coaches, certainly worth your time to view if you would like to learn a little more about them.

Another great video of Team USA signing jerseys for a tsunami fundraiser after the recent devastation in Japan. They talk about how soccer is bigger than the sport, it's also about people, and sometimes you need to extend your hand to your humankind. Awesome. This reminds me so much of Frankie Hejduk. I miss that guy.
