I wish I had an eloquently written post about all the great women I know who are running businesses in Columbus, but I don't.
Anecdotally, it seems like entrepreneurial vision is alive and well among women in our city.
I met with carmen who manages surly girl this week and was hugely impressed. She was the straw that tipped the point for me. We've got Beth
running Paul Robinett and growing it fantastically, Olivia growing her business, wholly craft. Liz, the punk rock cameron mitchel, and michelle who runs pizza primo in clintonville. Then there's red rover, art exchange, rowe, what the rock, mahan gallery, etc, etc. . .
The great thing is, All these ladies are doing an amazing job, they understand brand and customer service, and they do it all without having this 'pantsuit' mentality so prevalent in the corporate world. Running their businesses is as natural to them as anything else.
So, i'm calling us out. Columbus is an amazing place for women entrepreneurs. GO GO GO!
