Anyone have a good experience having their car windows tinted here in Columbus? I'm having a heck of a time finding a good place! I have called several local businesses and haven't been very impressed.
Thanks...

I have had a few friends get their windows done at Mr. Tint. Have you tried there?

Make sure you don't get them tinted too dark. My sister-in-law moved up from Arkansas with tinted windows, and she got a hefty ticket in Grandview, which apparently doesn't allow too much tint, even if you're just passing through.

Thanks..I called Mr. Tint and left a message; never returned my call.
I'll check out the other suggestions and will be careful to follow what's allowed in Ohio!

As a cyclist, tints make me very nervous. Is it just me? Unless vision issues necessitate them, what is the porpoise?

The purpose of the tinting is it shields the hot sun and makes driving a lot easier! It also keeps the car cooler, too (or at least that's been my experience).

Also +1 to Quality Window - they do good work.
ETA - It's also great for those of us that drive toasters or more open vehicles. You can put something behind the seat and it can't be seen, even if someone pressed their face to the glass.

http://www.autowindowtinting.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=content.display&pageID=108that is wierd.
The laws are wildly different. From no tint allowed on the driver to 50%
From 37% on the passenger to 100%So basically, I could have my windows tinted in one state and then if I travel through another I can get arrested?

depends on which state your car is registered in I believe. That state are laws you must follow.

VP, I'm sorry if I asked a stupid question, or derailed, but when I'm at a 4-way stop, if i can't see if the driver sees me, I get nervous... x100 if I have kids with me. Those people can jump out.
Another derailment, but thanks for the Inbetweeners tip. I hope that show comes back.Posted 1 year ago #
