Plus OSU can make an appeal, dragging this out to 2012.
They need to make their decision and get on with it.
Right now the delay is hurting the players that played by the rules and casting a shadow over the 2011 football season.

Meyer has allegedly said he's interested in coaching again... and he visited Arizona and passed on the job... hopefully him living in the area gives us an edge.

I think some people are going to be sadly disappointed when Urban Meyer is not the coach. I personally will be happy if the choice is not him, I don't trust his ethics, reminds me of a john calipari. When Jim Tressel got the job he was not a premier coach at the time, and no premier coach wanted the job then. Some rumors have Urban Meyer taking the Penn State job.

OSU isn't about to be the defendant in a number of civil cases that will probably end up costing millions of dollars. And OSU wasnt't delivered a letter directly from the president of the NCAA announcing the NCAA would be investigating a lack of institutional control, which is the most egregious offense in the NCAA's book.

They also probably don't want a high profile coach for a while. Low key is going to be the name of their game for at least five years.

Actually, OSU's athletic department is considerably more profitable than PSU's for one. More importantly though, I don't think a big name coach will have any interest entering the shitstorm that is PSU athletics. OSU had a small black eye, but PSU is about to be hit with lack of institutional control and has half their administration wiped out.

Tressel Sells Home In Upper Arlington

UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio - Former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel sold his home in Upper Arlington, 10TV News reported on Tuesday. The house was sold to Columbus automobile dealer Bobby Layman. Tressel was levied with a show-cause penalty from the NCAA in December, several months after he was asked to resign as coach in the wake of a scandal surrounding some of his players trading football memorabilia for tattoos.

Tressel In Line For Non-Football Position At Akron

COLUMBUS, Ohio - One day after news was released that former Ohio State University head football coach Jim Tressel sold his Upper Arlington home, sources told 10TV News on Wednesday that Tressel is in talks with the University of Akron about an administrative position.
