No, I just wish he'd have one thread for all of his news stories out of the Cleve. They always seem a little more "this is why Cleveland is better than Columbus" rather than just general FYI's. That's all.
I like Cleveland, my fav bar on the planet it there!! :)

Velvet Tango Room. I'm not a cocktail whore (I mean that in a loving way) like a lot of people on here are, I just like what I like. I also like that even though it could be the most pretentious place on the planet, it totally wasn't. There are certainly ridiculously snobby people patronizing the place, but it's not because of the staff. I also like that I can spend $15 on a cocktail and walk outside to smoke and see a drug deal going down. Wooooo!!

I would like to see a Cleveland Underground. Walker, when you get done with your Metropreneur launch and a CU iphone app, can you get on it?

The Velvet Tango Room is awesome. The last time we were there, there was a skunk under a BMW parked immediately outside. We were wondering if we could scare the skunk while he was under there...

However, I think for Walker to be able to do a "Cleveland Underground" he needs to be able to particpate in the city "happenings" like he can here in Columbus. Maybe a franchise??? Hmmmmm... Interesting.

If you're not there and in the thick of things then daily postings about another city would just come off as a disingenuous regurgitation of second-hand information. There's no authenticity and no authority behind that model, so it's not something I personally would pursue.

You wouldn't have to personally pursue it; you would only need to find a "Walker Evans of Cleveland" to run the website; you would give him the template and appropriate models to use based on Columbus Underground and let him/her loose to do the work. You would only make sure that they were setting up the website and doing any other activities the way you would want for it to be done. That's the beauty of franchising. You give them the templates, they do all the work.
