Sounds like your timing is off. Keep trying, you'll get it.

ah...could be. I don't really ever go downtown on Sundays. Saturdays tho, I don't have much trouble.

Perhaps, my friend, perhaps as well too also.

There was this one stretch around our place in Pasadena of maybe a dozen or so lights, and there were signs along the route that said something like "lights timed to speed limit." and they were, and sure enough people drove the speed limit there, and you hit every light green. I am surprised this has not been implemented elsewhere.

I noticed when you go down Front from the Brewery District to the Arena District at 35 MPH you will hit all the green lights. They are definately timed for that.

I noticed the lights on 4th being timed weird also (just became conscious of it this weekend.) I can usually run the gaunlet on 3rd without stopping, but on 4th, I always get held up. I normally only drive those stretched on the weekends, though.

That fourth street trap by 670 with the cameras and that tiny intersection drives me crazy.

God, remind me never to move to California. That place is ridiculous, almost as ridiculous as nyc fining you now for honking your horn.

I got a ticket at that camera last winter. For a cool $95 you get a commemorative photo, as well as video link for your YouTube!

It's a really good idea. It makes people drive slower/safer, and arrive faster. What's the problem with that? No city is ever going to time their lights to encourage speeding, so they are just saying "hey dumbass, if you drive a little slower, you won't get stopped at every light." What's the problem with that?

The lights along Third and Fourth are normally timed to where you can cruise through them all at 35mph. I've noticed on weekend the patterns are a little different though.
The problem is that light timing only really works well with one way streets. And in the next few years downtown will have fewer and fewer one ways (thank god).
So expect your 10 minute drive across downtown to turn into a 12 minute drive.
Hopefully that last sentence doesn't induce any panic attacks.

I don't want to drive slower, I like driving fast.

traffic lights should be used to keep traffic moving, not to stop traffic.

the cameras!!!! beware they make money.......lol

I'll call just to let them know that the light on 3rd crossing Olentangy is ridiculous. I hate it. You could sit there for 15 minutes at that light with no cross traffic.
Idiots.
