Huh?
Evidently not Walker or I?
Are you referring to the stupid beer?
Hops has become like oak in wine and roasting in coffee - a stupid exercise in dick-waving that is designed to cover the faults in the initial product.

Holy crap, $18 for a 6-pack? Man, I love hops but…$3 a beer retail is a little steep for my blood. I'd love to try it if someone else is buying though!
Neener.
as is this: http://www.deepwoodrestaurant.com/events.htm
and Studio 35's as well, the Big Lebowski event: http://www.studio35.com/ or http://www.columbusunderground.com/dude-a-thon-this-weekend-at-studio-35
And yes I buy it once or twice, but usually stick to my Bell's Two Hearted IPA and if I want something different, Stone's Ruination IPA.
Depending on how much assault to the tastebuds I'm in the mood for, my usual favorite IPAs are:
Avery Maharajah
Victory Hop Devil
Alesmith IPA
Stone IPA or Ruination
Dogfish Head Burton Baton or 90 minute
I'm actually brewing a double IPA right now. It's chilling in my basement now while being dry-hopped with a ton of Cascade & Centennial hops. Should be ready to drink in about 3 weeks. Counting down the days.
i'm a hop fan and really love Bell's too. i didn't particularly like the Stone IPA, though i'm not educated enough to explain why that is
I think hops are like Starbuck's roast when they first emerged on the national scene. Or like an obsession with "200% new oak" was in the wine world: The beers stand out in a crowd, but are fundamentally flawed by emphasizing a single aspect of the process. Some producers are serious about quality (and are pursuing a different vision), but many have realized that upping the amplitude on hops is easier than making fundamentally sound brew. The small-batch/artisinal brewing industry in the US is still maturing. Like with coffee, a Third Wave needs to emerge.

The distributor for Victory's in this town sucks, so can't count on consistently being able to find Hop Devil (or Storm King/Old Horizontal). Alesmith is expensive. Stone IPA I get if I can't get Two Hearted since they are similar hop styles. 90 minute I like but not a big fan of the 60 minute. Save me a bottle or bring over a growler of your brew :)
enough of this IPA garbage.... who knows some good bitters to try?
Hop devil is on tap now (well, last night) at Mad Med.

Yep, It's also usually what I drink when I meet friends at Barrel 44.You pass up 44 different types of really good whiskey for that?
I cannot imagine hating whiskey that much.
I'm a beer guy through and through. Unfortunately I don't have a good taste for liquor & wine for whatever reason.
Maharaja now on tap at Mad Mex.
