From the dispatch: Man outside car hit by another vehicle
Good thing they specified, I guess we all would have assumed that he was hit by his own vehicle when outside.
Good thing they specified outside the car. If they had just said, man hit by car, I would have assumed that the car flew into his car and then hit him.
I don't know why, but the headline seems akward.
About as akward as all the crap ads that get opened in hidden browsers every time I go to the Dispatch site.

I have a vague, caffeine-deficient memory of another Dispatch headline this morning that was trying to convey that an auto accident victim had been discovered to have been shot before getting into the accident...all without using any compound verb tenses. (I'm clearly getting tangled up myself) Somewhat challenging.
The article was definitely worth the read - try to picture 3 guys pushing a minivan with a murder victim inside it out into traffic?...

So he was hit by another vehicle? Meaning he had previously been hit by a vehicle?
