my last cavity I just had them drill it out without the novacaine. I hate those shots and the jaw sorness afterwards. I hate needles.
it wasn't terribly deep, any deeper and I would have asked for the shot.

I go to Marrion Village Dental and the dentist gives me a prescription for a drug that makes all the difference.
Do they give you something different than the usual valium or xanax? I've been given those for dental phobia but my adrenaline can beat up a benzodiazepine any day of the week. They tend to have no effect on me whatsoever, especially when I'm scared. So far nitrous seems to work with regular visits, but I'm getting my (numerous) old fillings removed and redrilled and the nitrous isn't quite enough for that.

I've had a broken and impacted wisdom tooth removed on nitrous. I love that stuff. I just put on headphones and turned up the music and I couldn't even hear the whine of the drill that much. To be honest after the nitrous hit they could have backed a truck into my mouth and pulled the tooth with that and I wouldn't have cared. Awesome that there's a place that does free nitrous.

I recommend the Greentree Dental Group (www.greentreedentalgroup.com) on Henderson in front of the UA Krogers. All staff are professional and friendly, explain what they are doing and why, and they do not push cosmetic procedures. They came highly recommended by my boss, and I agree with that recommendation.

They came highly recommended by my boss, and I agree with that recommendation.I used to recommend Jody Kear and his staff, but they scheduled me for a TMJ exam, knowing my insurance wouldn't cover it, and didn't tell me. Got a nearly $200 bill for that... I also recommended one of my employees to them on an emergency, and they used the situation to clean the guys teeth, after he told them to just pull the problem tooth, and then told him afterwards that he would have to schedule with an oral surgeon to get the tooth pulled. NOT cool. Dude was in a lot of pain. Their "recommend a patient and get $25 off" program also never has worked out for me... can't say I'd recommend them.

I like my dentist. Dr. James Ford DDS. His office is at 51 N High St. (on the corner of Gay and High)

Dr. James Ford hands down! The office is downtown...do not worry about parking because his staff feeds the meters for you. I asked for change to feed the meters and they insisted on doing it for me!? Said that it was the cost that they pay for having an office downtown.
He is professional and painless. I have been going to Dr. Ford for four years and have never had to wait. His appointments are on time every time. Makes me smile :)Posted 1 year ago # -
^^ Respectfully disagree on Dr. Ford. Bad dentist with seriously faulty diagnosis, terrible neighbor.
Thank goodness for Mark Klabunde DDS, great person and remarkably talented dentist. Plus he offers nitrous!

Both my wife and I have been going to Community Dental, Great Western Shopping Center, for the past 23 years - Dr Neil Elam and Dr Deborah York. Great place, attentive to your insurance coverage, modern systems like digital xray, chair side documentation/chart review/dental information system; sedative dentistry if needed;

I love my dentist, Dr. Andrea Mulholland in German Village. Her staff is excellent as well. She was recommended to me by the (also wonderful) oral surgeon who was guiding me through a complicated implant process after I had my front teeth damaged in a bike/car accident. (Oral surgeon Dr Terry Daniel, who's in the same practice as Dr Mark Klabunde, mentioned above) I had been struggling with poor diagnoses and below-standard care for months before finding Drs Daniel and Mulholland.

I and several of my friends cannot say enough good things about Dr. Nicole Munz at German Village Dental. She and her staff are awesome. Her prices are very reasonable, too, and they work with your insurance. She's the first dentist I've ever enjoyed going to.

Has anyone been to Capstone Dental? They just opened in November on the corner of Broad and High which is really close to where I work. They advertise high-tech care, botox, and other services. Just wondering.

Based on a recommendation. I found Dr. Blankenbeckler in Westerville to be a great dentist. High tech equipment and good staff. They accept a number of discount cards from insurance companies.

I recommend the Aetna Vital Savings card which at 70 bucks a year can pay for itself quickly.
