I thought an un-official CU event thread might be in order...a collective CU twitter, if you will. While we'd all like to connect at official, planned CU monthly events it's not always feasible, but we'd still like to connect I'm sure. Why not an ongoing, impromptu thread about where one or more of us will be heading in the near future? Like 3 of us are catching a movie at Studio 35 on Saturday at 9:30 if anyone wants to meet up, or I'm headed to Betty's to meet X for lunch at 1 maybe we'll see you there, etc. Just a thought...thoughts?

I think there was a pretty lively thread last summer that, more to the point, was entitled "Where are we drinking tonight?" but it kinda faded once the patios shut down. I don't know how "CU Event-y" it was though. It's good to know what everyone's doing though.

I started "Where are we going for happy hour?" last summer because every day we would end up derailing a thread around 4pm trying to get people on a patio. I like this for our cold weather months!! Happy hour just doesn't feel as "happy" to me without sunshine and patios :(

I'm going over a friend's house for drinks, food, and games tonight. Not sure about afterward or Saturday, maybe Spark?

We're probably staying in tonight, especially if Rockmastermike has a new idea of what to throw into the Giant Avocado of Smoky DOOM!

I'm trying to decide where to go for drinks with Catnfiddle after the book club meeting tomorrow. People are welcome to join us.(I'm looking at you, Somertimeoh and HeySquare.) I'm thinking Surly Girl, but would they be getting crowded around 5:00ish? Maybe Ravari Room/Hound Dog's, but I don't know if I'm in the mood for really terrible service. Any ideas?

I was thinking the Rossi or Surly Girl myself. My friend always wants to go to Betty's when he visits and Bodega is chaos on weekends (and I was there Wednesday), so those two would be on my no list.

I am hoping to be somewhere where I can eat a lot of cheese. And then read, have a cup of chamomile tea, and go to sleep. ROCK AND ROLL
