It's ironic that the Anti-Saloon League, the driving force behind the Prohibition movement, was headquartered in Westerville, OH. In spite of that, today the Columbus area boasts some outstanding purveyors of alcoholic beverages.
Prohibition marches spurred on by the Anti-Saloon League
We think it's fitting that this 3 hour tour starts at the Anti Saloon League Museum in Westerville, OH. The League, founded in Oberlin, Ohio in 1893, was based in Westerville from 1909 to ’73. Is it any surprise that Westerville remained dry until 2006? After the docent-guided tour of Anti Saloon League Museum, we'll caravan to Wyandotte Winery.

Wyandotte Winery
At Wyandotte Winery (the first & oldest winery in Central Ohio), we'll tour the winery guided by Chief Whiner, Valerie Coolidge. Next you'll taste the wonderful Wyandotte wines and enjoy a panini lunch. Your special dessert will be a slice of one of Valerie's famous wine cakes. Valerie may tell us the story of her previous cake business in dry Westerville. An outstanding feature of this tour is to experience firsthand the Wyandotte Winery slogan, "Enter a Stranger and Leave a Friend".
