Went last night. I'm not much for writing reviews on restaurants so I'll just give a brief description.
Started things off with a few cocktails. I tried the "Al-Cachino" which contains Van Gogh Espresso Vodka, Godiva Chocolate liquor & a fresh Organic Egg White. It was supposed to taste similar to chocolate Yoohoo, which it did. I'm not sure if it was $11 good, so I just had one. The wife had a "Tapatio Margarita". In the menu the description states "How can it be a Knead Original you ask, the secret is in the glass." I'm still confused by that one as it came in a regular tall glass and tasted nothing out of the ordinary. Maybe someone can explain that one to me.
The wife got a baby beet salad before the entree, she seemed to love it. It was mostly lettuce, nuts, cheese and what seemed like not many beets, but again.. she was quite happy with it.
We then both split a Motherclucker and a Knead-a-Burger. We both loved the Motherclucker. The chicken was delicious. For some reason the Knead-a-Burger didn't blow me away, but it wasn't bad by any means. I could appreciate the Pat La Frieda beef used. Fries were okay, but wasn't wild about the fennel ketchup and switched to regular after a few bites.
Ended with a Swoozy Q and Jinkie for dessert (homemade Suzy-Q and Twinkie knock-off's). The Swoozy Q was really, really good. The cream filling in the middle was tasty as hell. The Jinkie barely had any cream filling in it at all and was a dud.
The thing that left quite a bad taste in my mouth was the service. The girl working the dining room spoke in an extremely quiet monotone, and just had an overall sad & morose demeanor. She was inattentive and I'm not usually that picky when it comes to service. When I'm dropping $70 on a casual dinner I expect a little more.
There were a few items on the menu that piqued my interest such as some of the pizzas, and I'm going to return to give them another shot.
