I'm thinking about leaving work early and grabbing something to eat at North Market before heading home. I ALWAYS get the chicken pho at lac viet. Any suggestions, as I'm in the mood to try something new. Thanks!

I would recommend that since they are the only place that doesn't use styrofoam. Or just eat at the Greener Grocer.

I like the Tunisian chicken at Firdous. Ask for a double container just to cancel out Cyclist. That's what I do.

I like The Fish Guys or falafels from Firdous Express.

In honor of cyclist, maybe I'll ask for my meatballs to go in hand a la "The Wedding Singer."

Lac Viet is my Favorite!!! I usually get the Bun Thit Bo, its a little dryer and more filling than pho. And the Kai Ga (I "think" that's the sprout salad) with the lime dressing is awesome and light. I almost wish they'd get a dedicated storefront. Can't go wrong with Nida's Pad Thai either. Or, do the wine-cheese-bread/olive oil/Balsamic-fruit route, kinda a continental thing and hit 4 places. OR a pint of Dark Cocoa Gelato and a spoon :)

Incorrect. You are spreading false information.
You can get a sandwich from Heil's Deli. You can get sushi from Nida's. You can get pizza from Sarefino's. None of that comes in Styrofoam.
If you're going to preach environmental advocacy, you should do it with truthful information to back you up.

I'm sorry. Nida's sushi uses throw-away plastic containers. The seaweed salad rocks though.

I like the quesadillas at the Mexican stand.

It was a pho day. I hope you went with the pho. Or Jeni's. Or both.

Majudara, salad and hummus at firdous = always good and filling. Two slices at sarafino's can be satisfying. I miss all the Jose Madrid salsa samples - I can't lie, they always rounded out my meals quite nicely. Like an appetizer when you first get there. ;)

I am addicted to the channa masala (chick pea curry) at the Indian place. Sadly they do use polystyrene though. sigh.
