I've got this Samsung ML-1250 laser printer that I bought in 2002. A couple years ago it started doing things funny - sometimes refusing to self-feed paper, printing pages in reverse order, dropping offline periodically, etc. - but I kept using it because the print quality was fine and the toner cartridge still had life in it. (Ok, and I hate buying new stuff.)
But the toner finally ran out last month, and I yielded to my family's frustration with the other problems and bought another printer.
Is there anything useful I can do with the old printer? Or do I just need to accept that I have a largish piece of consumer junk to add to the landfill? I know there are places to take old computers, but are old printers of any use?
