I have the grinder attachment for my Kitchen Aid but I think the food processor does a better ground beef.
On a slightly related note, I plan to make this mexican style chorizo at home asap, doesn't look too bad at all!

Damn that looks good!
Attempting cheat loaf today. It's a veggie meatloaf w/ dates, lentils and rice as the base.
I likes me a good lentil rice loaf.
My kitchen is smelling amazing right now.
Beef stew here, ticking over on Low in the crockpot, getting a lot of green vegetable aromas from the homegrown brussels sprouts.
The other half of the beef and stock is slated for a batch of chili, and I've already simmered up some dried new mex peppers. Time to make the chile sauce, and hand-crumble the beef into it. 13F in the forecast tonight, good time to have a pot bubbling.

and a sixer of Bell's in the fridge ;)
Last night it was shrimp and pasta in an alfredo sauce, and today I have a bullion made from the shrimp shells, onion, bay leaf, one clove, rosemary, and a bit of red pepper flake.
Now, the oven warms
Momma Mimi's Sopranos.
Fragrance fills the house.
My sister's trick: trim radishes to look like mushrooms. The rest of the salad is asparagus and red leaf lettuce.
Those have to be some big radishes!!!
finally got a new grill, tried out its rotisserie over the weekend. most moist and delicious chicken i've cooked!

speaking of grills...this may be the most badass grill i've ever seen...HYBRID!

You need to photoshop in a bunch of neighbors' heads looking over the fence.
I vote for TomOver, drooling.
I recently learned that a blender base will screw onto a mason jar, so if you're grinding something dusty and nasty like dried hot peppers, you don't have to use the big blender bowl and fill it with dust. Just grind in the jar, turn it right side up, and leave it alone to settle for a while.
Split peas boil faster, mixed with cabbage.
Tried doing some ribs on the rotisserie for the first time on Sunday. Used a slab of pork spare ribs, rubbed down Famous Dave's rib rub, left the brisket attached and just kind of rolled it up and tied it to the spit rod with some butcher twine.
Cooked them indirectly for nearly four hours, had some hickory chips in there and sprayed down with apple juice every little bit. Wicked it up towards the end and threw on some Sweet Baby Ray's, turned on the rotisserie burner to caramelize the sauce some.
Results were excellent! Can't wait to try something else new that way.

ETA: nice grilling!
I got a little Coleman Road Trip grill, and I'm just starting to play with it.
Funny thing - it belongs to FOSR. Why does a watershed group own a gas grill? Because pizzas are expensive!
We have volunteer service events where we provide lunch, and pizzas for ~25 people can go over $200. The grill was $169, once. Then buy basic burgers or hot dogs or whatever.
