I haven't seen a post about everyone's NYE plans yet. I haven't caught up on everything since my Christmas vacation but I don't think I missed it.
I am finally doing something big for New Years. I am going to Together As One in LA. Sasha & Digweed and Ferry Corsten are headlining among others. 20k people. Should be a really good time.
BTW, I am flying Skybus there as well, $42 round trip after taxes and fees. With the cash saved on the flight I am paying for VIP tickets so I can drink for free all night. I'll be sure to post a review of the show as well as the Skybus flight when I get back and sober up.

Most likely, sitting at home, NYE i think has warm out its welcome with me, its boring, same shit every year no matter what event, or what city you are in, and a great time to get arrested. I will most likely sit at home, or maybe just go out to dinner.

Wow! Well, i dunno, and is it too late not to know? Seems like one would know by now. I did see an ad for a rock station sponsored event, but those things always bore me. The 2006 one I went to at The Hyatt, some guy started crap mouthing to the girl I was talking to. One thing led to another and I had to spend the whole night jumping from roof top to roof top illuminated only by the sparking shearing of the cutlass edges. The babe year swaddling on your humble victor; I sent a solitary rose to his widow.
Then I get back to the party and she's all like "can you believe the band covered Maroon 5?" and that's just not really my kind of music, honestly, so yeah I'm looking to maybe go to something else this year.

I'll be dressing to the nines and having a late dinner at G. Michael's, then going to a private party with lots of champagne and lots of noise. I will be tired the next day at work.

I got invited to a party here in German Village. Kind of a rotating pot luck dinner thing... happens at a different house each month. Looking forward to not driving for a change... so happy that I can have a drink and not worry about the drive home.
Now all I need is a casserole and a date... :D

You were just in San Fran!!!! Wow, what is a mandatory must see and do...I will be there for 4 days.
I would suggest checking out Haight St. from end to end. You will find plenty of shopping and local attractions there. Amoeba is one of the best music stores I have ever been to and it resides just at the end of the upper Haight. You can travel via bus up and down the strip for $1.50 with a free transfer that lasts for about 3-4 hours.
I also suggest a walk around the Mission District. There you will find a nice mix of food, art, and wacky people. Hold on I guess that is the entire city.
Of course there is China Town which I think is always great if you have never been or seen.
Golden Gate Park is always a must see and there is plenty for one to do there.
If you are uber lame or hung over you could always go on a tour of Alcatraz for the day.

oh yeah and I also suggest the 20-30 minute train ride to Berkley for at least an afternoon if it fits in.

Anne & I got 3-day MUNI-passes while we were there. I think they were around $18 each which gave unlimited ridership for the busses, streetcars, and trolleys. Basically everything except the BART. We ended up walking around a TON but it was great to be able to shoot across downtown without having to dig out cash every time.

Oh yeah! On NYE in San Fran at the Billy Grahm Theater there is a show with the Mars Volta headlining, The Eternals, and Peanut Butter Wolf. The also claim a suprise guest as well. Shit made me want to miss a plane.

I'm pretty much staying in and watching football. Then maybe watching the ball drop, but more likely just curling up with a couple new (used) books I just picked up at HPB.
