Just got home from San Fran so do enjoy. Hopefully the rain will die down for NYE celebrations.
I think a nice dinner and some local bar action in Grandview is in store for me. I have a nice date for the evening so I'm thinking that is all that really matters.
Columbus will be a blast in 2008 and I can't wait to see what happens.
You were just in San Fran!!!! Wow, what is a mandatory must see and do...I will be there for 4 days.
I would suggest checking out Haight St. from end to end. You will find plenty of shopping and local attractions there. Amoeba is one of the best music stores I have ever been to and it resides just at the end of the upper Haight. You can travel via bus up and down the strip for $1.50 with a free transfer that lasts for about 3-4 hours.
I also suggest a walk around the Mission District. There you will find a nice mix of food, art, and wacky people. Hold on I guess that is the entire city.
Of course there is China Town which I think is always great if you have never been or seen.
Golden Gate Park is always a must see and there is plenty for one to do there.
If you are uber lame or hung over you could always go on a tour of Alcatraz for the day.
Honestly I say to beat the street. Buy a bart pass and have money for busses handy. The entire city is something to see and it is only like 8x8 sq miles small. So you can walk from one side to the other before you could loose interest in sight seeing. Make sure you grab a map of some sorts and by all means enjoy it.
oh yeah and I also suggest the 20-30 minute train ride to Berkley for at least an afternoon if it fits in.
