Anybody here get to wear headphones at work throughout the day?
What do you listen to?
I'm on kexp.org every morning. John (the morning show guy) is one of the greatest radio djs alive. There's almost nothing but solid music, very few advertisements (as it is a nonprofit radio station), and the occasional random tidbit of information.

I listen to that Pandora streaming or CD mixes I make or from the podcasts Scott Litch posts. I do not have to wear headphones, I can have it playing at my desk.

I listen to sirus online. Usually Meg Griffin in the afternoon on the Distortion channel. Takes me back to high school when she did afternoon drive on WNEW-FM. I also listen to Edith Bowman on BBC-1 because I like her accent.

I listen to my iPod (60Gb/5G) everyday at work. I don't think I could survive a day without it sadly. When things get worn out, shuffle is my friend.

I have a hard time listening to music and writing at the same time. So I I listen to talk podcasts from American Public Media - Lynne Rossetto Kaspar's Splendid Table settles my nerves in a way no music could. http://splendidtable.publicradio.org/
Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me gives me a chuckle when I need one. http://www.npr.org/programs/waitwait/
I can do This American Life on occassion, but sometimes it's a little overwrought with angst. Not a typical way to make me more productive at work. http://www.thislife.org/

I can't listen to this at work because you will find me glued to the radio every Saturday at 2. I really love American Routes http://www.americanroutes.org/ and Roots 'N OffShoots with Maggie Brennan on NPR also. Unfortunately, neither show is available online.

You can listen to old episodes going back 6 or seven years off the web site.

Since I work at a music industry type company, I get to listen to whatever, whenever. It's nice. Usually, I listen to my own stuff on iTunes. New stuff when we get it or (shudder) my co-workers crap-tacular country music.

I usually que something up from napster's free music service. Though while it's still available, they're making it harder and harder to find, unless you actually know what you're looking for.
Selection is pretty decent, I'm always surprised by what is and is not on there. Somethings you'd expect to find aren't, and others that you would never imagine are.
Beats me, but free is free. (and legal).

+1 on kexp! i use to live in seattle and miss listening to them.
i listen to playlists on my ipod. i also listen to podcasts from kexp, this american life, and radio lab (the science of real life). i work 12 hr shifts so variety is good.
