Substitute teacher for CCS
Haiku (For like a week. They said they "over hired", I think I just wasn't cool enough.)
Temp at a lot of places. The ones I remember:
Riverside in the Pharmacy.
Test scorer for proficiency tests through Ranstad, but the actual place was called something else, up in Graceland before it got all fixed up. The name somehow escapes me.
Lots of offices.
Republic Airways, my current employer, while not a Columbus business, they do employ a fair number of people here.

I was the king of the one day jobs in high school. MCL Cafeteria=one day. Strader's Garden Center=one day. Spent a decent amount of time as a bagboy at Big Bear and Kroger both on Henderson and as a shirt and tie salesman at Lazarus Kingsdale though. Best job I had was selling imaginary sponsorships for imaginary handicapped kids to go to imaginary ice show put on by an imaginary Optimist Club out of a very real office on Lane Ave. above Easy Living Deli.

Four Seasons Landscape Company, where the Iacano's on Sawmill is today (same building)
Porter (janitor) at the Kingsdale Union, and a few janitorial temp jobs, I've spent more time kneeling in front of toilets than most people
Dozens of "light industrial" temp jobs - warehouses, assembly lines, etc. Forklifts are fun but assembly lines are not.
A few years in the landscape maintenance shops at Ohio State and Ohio Dominican, driving tractors on sidewalks
Dozens of office temp jobs, rising from substitute admin assist to systems documentation. Then technical writing, both as a team consultant and as a permanent employee. CompuServe was an interesting one.
(There are places in Dublin where I can stand on one spot and point to several nearby buildings I've worked in.)
Then the bottom dropped out of that market so I'm devoting my full attention to running the Friends of the Scioto River. It does't pay but maybe someday it will. And instead of spending half a year documenting a project that was later cancelled, I'm picking up tools again and making physical changes to the parks.

I can top that. Before it was CallTech, it was a small office in German Village that started out contracting to answer 1-900 chat lines and was answering full-on phone sex and psychic lines by the time I left.
