I'm just curious, as I get ready to launch my latest project. I'm interested in seeing the aesthetics of the sites, the type of content, etc.
Thanks! :)

Not sure it's really a blog, but I think I'm in love with Olivia Judson

Too many local blogs, friends and music blogs to list.
rlslog.net
is that considered a blog?
It's not a blog, but my homepage is Techmeme, which aggregates blog posts and allows you to see what stories are trending.
Another great site that aggregates blog stories is Hacker News.
Favourite blog? I have too many to list. Here's some current favourites:
This fantastic long form blog "SpikeJapan" by a British expat who is covering the death of Japan's rural areas has been consuming me. I found this last month, and I've read through each article twice and I'm hoping he writes more soon. It's Gonzo Journalism if Tom Wolfe had gone out and done his own research. I've not read many magazine articles this good. I also love his (somewhat catty) takedowns of sloppy newswriters: http://spikejapan.wordpress.com/
Great design blog "Kitsune Noir" by LA blogger, AD and designer Bobby Solomon: http://kitsunenoir.com/
Foreign Policy Magazine has a great selection of bloggers. I get most of my news from them: http://blog.foreignpolicy.com/
and Columbia Journalism Review: http://www.cjr.org/
"Arts and Letters Daily" covers a wide range of topics and always gives me food for thought: http://www.aldaily.com/
Great Street art site Wooster Collective: http://www.woostercollective.com
Tom Sutpen's "If Charlie Parker Was a Gunslinger, There'd Be a Whole Lot of Dead Copycats" is one of my favourite image blogs. Lots of photos of jazz musicians, writers, actors, actresses, and much more pulled from the pages of history: http://tsutpen.blogspot.com/
Self described "book design fetish site", "A Journey Round My Skull": http://ajourneyroundmyskull.blogspot.com/
Artblog "Why Not": http://www.maricazottino.com/blog/
Ruhlman. Nuff said.: http://blog.ruhlman.com/
"Cured Meats" blog. Now up, Lamb Prosciutto!: http://curedmeats.blogspot.com/
Kyoto food is different and really pretty rare outside Kansai. I love amount of care and effort the author spends documenting the wonders and subtlties of Kyoto food: http://kyotofoodie.com/
Classic cycling blog "Le Grimpeur" takes me back to the Tours of my yoof: http://le-grimpeur.net/blog
Brilliant soccer writing at "The Run of Play": http://www.runofplay.com/
and at "Pitch Invasion": http://pitchinvasion.net/
and covering Crew Soccer at "The Massive Report": http://www.massivereport.com/
Tech management guru and dick joke aficinado Rands: http://www.randsinrepose.com/
Gawker tech site ValleyWag. I hate them, but I loathe the rest of the self-congratulating tech press more (the bunch of useless pricks). If El Reg had better US coverage I'd just read them. If nothing else, they all just make me miss NTK: http://gawker.com/tag/valleywag/
How can I forget "eXiled Online"? This blog is the hangover from the Moscow English expat newspaper "The eXile" that was shut down after finally pissing enough people off to get "investigated" by the Russian government. These guys are a bunch of pricks, however unlike the tech press they're legitimately useful as they tell it like they see it regardless of the popularity of the viewpoint.
I'm a big fan of the "War Nerd" columns and just about everything else. If you like Matt Taibbi, then you'll like this, since this is where Matt learned to write before he and Mark Ames had a falling out. You can still find his articles in the archives. Older stuff is Russian centric, and newer stuff focuses on the US. It's all worth a read: http://exile.ru
