I like it too! It's reminiscent of the E. Broad medians from about a 100 years ago.

I am still very hesitant to get too hopeful about what might transpire. Growing up about 3/4 mile from the site in Georgian Heights, I have watched the downward spiral of the area. It really all began when they started accepting Section 8 vouchers at Lincoln Park West. The trash started hanging out at the mall. People stopped going as much. Crime in the area got worse. Then at least 10 other complexes within 2 miles of the site opened up to the vouchers. The area has never been the same. It's hard to say it is going to recover easily with the type huge poor population and a very large non-English speaking population in the near vicinity. They have begun to tear down the Wedgewood pit at least. That's a start. I'm sure they'll just move them a bit further west and a bit closer to the casino though.
