They should have opted for the "make real hamburgers" choice.
I'll give it a shot, but I'm sure that it still isn't better than Five Guys.
Just about any burger on the planet is better then Five Guys
I don't eat fast food very often, but I always thought Wendy's burgers were one of the better fast food burgers.
Where the 7734 is JimL2?
Wait, Rally's is still around?
Yep.
The Arby's era Wendy's burger is not the same as the one we all remember. For one thing, they've definitely gone to a cheaper bun. And the chicken nuggets are now "parts are parts" type nuggets.
I haven't tried the new burger, but if they're going to put Dave's name on it, they better bring it.
As far as Rally's I don't know if my tastes have matured, or if the burgers have really turned to pure shinola, but I used to like them many years ago, and I wouldn't feed them to my dog these days.
For all the time, effort and money spent and they call it "Dave's hot n' juicy"?
I went to Wendy's drivethru yesterday to try the new burger. I couldn't remember the name of it, and when I asked the order-taker about it, she said "all they did was rename the double cheeseburger - it's the same burger". That's quite a sales pitch.
I guess they added more fillers that do not 'cook off'.
They also made the buns thicker.
I think we need a "where's the bun" ad campaign. Dave would be impressed. ;)

This thread needs a Roman Burger STAT!
I had one of these at the Wendy's in Galloway. They've been serving them for a couple of weeks, pretty much since they had their grand re-opening after the remodel.
The burger is definitely thicker. The new pickles and buns they used seemed very 5 guys-esque. The bun got soggy similar to the way an overloaded 5 guys burger will.
I like them better than the old flat and dry version.

Looks like the excitement of the corporate ad campaign really trickled down internally.
graffiti burger > 5 guys
As far as the Wendy's thing goes I'll try it, I always liked wendy's. But I wish they would bring back the chicken Caesar Peta from the days begone.
Wendy's smoky bacon cheeseburger was the GOAT.
Sautéed onion, cheddar, bacon and bbq...yummy.
