Ok, moving next door to Katzinger's may have been the biggest mistake of my life...or at least my wallet.
I have lived here since December, but I have resisted thus far as I just won't pay $12 for a sandwich...just not going to happen.
However, I've been home sick for the past 2 days and have zero energy to get in the car and find food (since groceries just don't seem to exist in this house).
I decided yesterday at lunchtime to go get some matzo ball soup for my ailments. I also grabbed a side of their chopped chicken livers (like grandma made) and a blondie. Good lord! It was all so good, and that stuff is priced reasonably.
I just walked over again and loaded up on more stuff that makes me happy enough to wee my pants. I got more matzo soup. I swear this stuff is curing my sickness. I also got a side of the tastiest greek salad I've ever had, seriously ridiculously good fruit salad, a turtle brownie, and one of those bacon and smoked sea salt chocolate bars. (sampled while waiting for my order...good lord...chocolate salty orgasm). Anyway...I may have to work a second job at Katzinger's now for all the crap I now will crave from there.
Damn you tasty restaurant neighbor!!! :D
Oh, and I also picked up some poppyseed Rugelach...discovered this during the past Christmas festivities...so good.
And don't worrry. I am not going to try to eat all of this at once.
