Anyone recommend any good website hosting sites? I was just going to go with GoDaddy.com unless people suggested something else. My website is in PHP with a MySQL database and there is a chance I'd like to use Flash in the future.

I use IX Hosting. I chose them because they are local (servers and support in Columbus OH) and stay with IX because the support has been great. They have a support ticket system but also an individual person matched to each account. I have actually met my support person, Christian Adams, in person a few times. I know this post sounds gushy, but how many hosts can offer that?

Thanks! I'd love to use a local company if I can.

We're a local company, and we do website hosting ( http://www.nmpconsulting.com ). However, we chiefly host for websites we design, so if you are a do-it-yourselfer, you might be looking for something a bit different. Also, as a full-service host, we're a bit more expensive than the bargain hosts.
Prior to going to work for NMP, I was very happy for many years with ICDSOft (http://icdsoft.net). They have competitive pricing and excellent support. I hosted with them for five or six years and never had any problems. My only complaint about them would be that they aren't ideal if you have multiple domain names.
I haven't been overly impressed with what I've seen of GoDaddy's hosting. They have good prices, but performance can be spotty and customer service isn't great. Their interface is also a bit confusing to work with. On the plus side, they are a good choice if you have multiple domain names, and you don't want to have to buy separate hosting accounts.
