It's been quite a while, but I would love to put together another CU tea gathering for the early fall, when it's finally cool and crisp enough to enjoy a strong cup of Darjeeling or the like.

Bear in mind that while I like bubble tea, I'm talking about the full British or Southern service. A few of us met at the Hilton at Easton and tried their wares. I cannot speak for everyone but I was less than thrilled with the outcome (danishes instead of scones, tea in individual bags). On the other hand, I was impressed with the Cambridge Tea House's service. It's mostly a matter of whether they could accommodate a large group.

Does anyone want to join me? Does anyone have any suggestions of where to find a perfect scone with clotted cream?

Ohhh, I am so in. I love tea.

Have you been to Biddy's in Dublin? I know they do large parties because I helped host a shower there. The tea list at Cambridge House is far more interesting though.

I have not been there but have heard it's a lovely place (although I think they also use bagged leaves). The price is a fair one! We'll keep that one in mind. I also want to see if Two For Tea is still serving on Sundays around town.

I am in! I love the cream tea at Cambridge, and have been wanting to try their high tea. And I'd love to try any other tea place, except apparently for the Hilton. (Danishes, really?! How tragic.)

I'm reviving this thread because I've finally made it to Biddies for their Victorian Tea and have to report that I'm a little disappointed. The food was good, but the tea selection was abysmal! My companion and I knew we were in for a sad time in that department when we were asked what beverage we wanted with our tea. Um, TEA, maybe?

Once we received hot water, our selection was a bunch of grocery-store bought tea bags, mostly herbals and greens. There wasn't a single Earl Grey or English Breakfast in the house. It took us searching through several tables' selections to find a couple bags of Oolong. One employee told us that they had run out of Earl Grey while another stated that their customers preferred green teas over black, so that was the selection they offered. Sadly, my companion was allergic to green tea, so it was not a refreshing alternative.

That being said, I will probably return to Biddies for lunch and perhaps a glass of wine. Their sandwiches were beautiful and tasty. The cream of broccoli soup was sumptuous. I brought home the baked treats after indulging in a jam and cream laden scone. However, in the future, I would like a little tea with my Tea.

Okay, WHY didn't anyone tell me how good Mozart's afternoon tea is? I didn't even know they HAD a tea service until their Dine Originals deal. My companion from my trip to Biddie's joined me on this excursion. This time, she was so happy that she booked a reservation for herself and her daughter for Black Friday AND took home a giant pastry for her husband.

The food was excellent, the service impeccable, and the Darjeeling was served loose and in a diffuser. I couldn't finish it all so there is a little pastry awaiting me in the fridge. The Dine Originals also offered half-off mimosa as part of the service, but I didn't want to drink and eventually drive in rush hour. Besides, the service itself was relaxing enough.

Now I have TWO places with wonderful tea service (here and Cambridge) who will have my patronage. Now that it's getting to get nice and chilly, who wants to join me sometime for a pot of something hot?

Went to the teahouse in Grandview near the 24 hr laundry with my wife. Best teahouse in the area. We have tried many others but this is our favorite by far.

That's Cambridge. I'm pretty fond of that one myself, although it gets a little noisy at times. AnneD and I met there for a cream tea a while ago and need to do so again.
