Water bill / Water from City Question

So I got a house a few months back and have no idea how to get water bills (not that I want them). My lot is split and the guy has been bringing me checks for his cut of the water (I have his water line off mine, I can turn it off in the basement if I want.)

Now he gives me a bill from Guardian Water and Power and I just get stuck on hold all day long with them so they are no help.

I tried to check the cities website but IT SUCKS. All they want to do is collect money from a bill, no information on setting up an account. Just pay the bill online or payment locations. If I want to search for unpaid sewer bills the form doesn't even load (http://gis.columbus.gov/sd/) Then you get stuck in broken links world, who made this crap shoot POS. Walker, tell the major the website sucks ass.

So can anyone tell me who I have to contact to get my water bill all figured out?

My water bills have always come from Guardian and they've always been super helpful if I had questions. Maybe you're hitting them at a bad time, lunch or something?

Yeah, I think I need to try at some off hours...to be fair to them I have tried during whats probably the busy time.

As an owner Guardian can be a real pain in the butt. They won't talk to us on the phone anymore and want everything in writing - faxed not emailed. They seem to change the rules a lot. I had two of their sub meters in my building when I bought it, yet they insisted on installing brand new ones at my expense. Now whenever a tenant comes or goes I have to run to staples and fax them notice of it. Calling them leads to long hold times, I suggest just faxing it and avoiding the other hassles.

City billing is quarterly on water. And you have ten days to pay it or they start making threats. I keep a separate savings acct just for the water bills.

ETA: The city water dept. is pretty easy to get hold of on the phone.

I called city water about a question I had on my bill yesterday at about 5:45 (they close at 6pm) and had no problems getting through and the lady I spoke to was nice.
Number was: 645-8276.

I have been recently have many issue with City Water Billing.
The lady I talked to said it was due to the new system they have. On the bright side I can now pay my electric online bout time.
