Are you right brained or left brained?
I can't do magic eye but I was able to switch the direction she spun in after a little bit. http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,22556281-661,00.html
Ack! Now she won't switch back.

I've seen this before - it's a really good optical illusion.
I think the easiest way to get it to "switch" directions is to look just below the feet for a minute or two. To switch back, look away from the screen for a minute or two.
i don't see how it could possibly be moving anti clockwise.
anyways... clockwise for me.
OK... that's just really wrong. I saw it going counter-clockwise first, then I got it to switch, but couldn't get it back then.
Battle of the Brains. Ack.
So, I think I just spent 10 minutes trying to get her to go counter-clockwise but I just can't do it.
More importantly, why are her boobs so big?
here is the image in question.
hilarious, I can ONLY get it to go clockwise...and the description of me is pretty accurate too.
this is actually a new trick. the php code pings your browser and sees if you're running a mac or a PC OS, and loads a different image of the spinning dancer depending on the result.
If you're seeing it move in different ways that what it started as, you're disillusion, sorry.
nevermind...

Umm... except that the Herald Sun page linked is an HTML page, so there couldn't be any PHP processing happening there?
They could do the swap in CSS I suppose, but that would be pretty extreme (and somewhat unethical) for a newspaper site, don't you think?
I could see it both ways. I covered my right eye and then my left to see it spin both directions. How much fun is this??? Cool.
The really tough challenge is to see her swinging her foot back and forth (i.e. changing directions each time)
I can only see it moving clockwise, which is weird, because I've been told I'm a "left-brained" person my entire life.
The image doesn't spin in the opposite dierction, you just either visualise her extended arm as coming towards you or behind herself in each revolution. The real question is as she's turing, do you see the hand as being behind her body or closer to you? Am I wrong?
Hmmmmmmmmm. I try not to over anyalyze, I just like it. Trippy.
Weird, I could only see it moving clockwise then all of the sudden it started going counter clockwise, then I could not get it to go back to clockwise for the life of me.

I have to disagree because Husband and I both sat looking at this on the same computer (PC), arguing about how ridiculous the other was for not seeing it the same way - I can only see her going clockwise, he could only see going counterclockwise (which totally makes sense, he being the science guy, me being the head in the clouds dreamy sort).
Finally, he got her to go clockwise and could see my side of things. I could only get her to go clockwise.

i just wanted to mess with people.
:)
ha ha, i'm a jerk, haha
glad I could assist your assholery!
I would just like to point out that this graphic had Husband entranced for like 10 full minutes, trying to figure out exactly why it worked the way it did. So thanks to whomever originally posted it.
