Ohio Roller Girls are currently putting out some feelers for two spaces. We're doing quite a bit of research and brainstorming, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask for leads here.
1. Warehouse or large building for our permanent practice/office home. We would need approximately 10-15K square feet unobstructed by support columns. We own our own portable sport court floor for our track, so floor surface is not important -- concrete, wood, lineoleum, whatever is ok. Storage/office space would be a plus. The more centrally located the better. Ideas???
2. Public venue: We're currently hosting our games at Central Ohio Roller Hockey; however, we know that venue won't be there forever due to development in the area. We're looking for somewhere with a minimum 10K square feet unobstructed to set up our track, plus seating area surrounding. Locker rooms, free parking and alcohol sales are a plus. Capacity between 600 and 1500 is ideal. Games are generally held once or twice a month from Jan - July. We've looked at a lot of the usual suspects, but finding the perfect place with the perfect price point is the challenge.
Ultimately, if both of these places were one and the same, that would rock, but I'm not overly optimistic that a warehouse appropriate for practice space would also be zoned appropriately for public events.
