Thank You!
Have you checked out the Experience Columbus website? They have a calendar of events.
Here's a festival listing
Red White and Boom is July 1st
North Market wine and food festival is July 8th
We have taco truck tours on July 1st and 3rd.
Experience Columbus is a good place to check out.
If Red, White, and Boom isn't your forte, there are great Fourth of July Celebrations all over, such as Dublin (Smokey Robinson's the headlining act for their Fireworks show), Hilliard, Upper Arlington (one of the best parades), Bexley, Westerville, the Short North (Gallery Hop on Saturday, Doo Dah Parade on Monday the 4th itself), Clintonville, and Gahanna.
CCT opens "Chicago" on July 7. (Recommended for ages 13+)- http://www.colschildrenstheatre.org
Actors Theatre presents "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (with puppets) in Schiller Park, starting June 30, and running Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday at 8PM until July 31st (except for July 1st)- http://www.theactorstheatre.org
and the Scioto Mile opens on July 7th as well.
Red, White and Boom on July 1st (apparantly in celebration of Canada Day): http://www.redwhiteandboom.org/
Traditional 4th of July parade in Upper Arlington and other suburbs.
Irreverent DooDah Parade in the Short North: http://www.doodahparade.com/
EDIT: I should probably read earlier posts!
It can't be stressed enough --the Doo Dah parade would be the highlight of any reasonable person's July 4th in Columbus.
