I need some help with a video editing project.
What I want to do is combine a video file (AVI) with what occurred on a computer screen. I want to layer them so you see a semi-transparent version of the computer screen over top of the movie. I can probably turn the computer portion into an avi file if needed, but the fundamental issue of layering two video files remains.
Is there software (Mac or PC) that I can use and is reasonably available/cost-effective? Is this something beyond a ham-fisted amateur?
