I belong to a small newline linedance group and we are looking for space to use for a 4ish hour window on sunday's not b4 2pm and not after 8pm. Preferably free ;-) but the cheaper the better!

The space desired would have a wood floor and a speaker system we could plug into. (however the speaker system and the wood floor are not needed as long as it's not carpet ;-)
This group #'s 5-10 people (the space should have a capacity to hold 20 people eventually)
We learn and practice the current top new newline dances across the linedance world. (the dancers prefer a non bar atmosphere as most are non drinkers.)

ETA But a non bar is optional as well since beggers can't be choosers. ;-)
oops also location we are looking for would be prefered downtown/ german village/ S.N./ KLD or nearby surrounding areas

The lane ave place is right as you exit 315..behind what used to be a BP station I think.

Yeah I checked out their website. that's why I mentioned it would be ideal, however I work near children's hospital on the weekends and would be cycling from the westside to work and would really love to just stay in the downtown area. (downtown/shortnorth/germanvill/kld/not any further than one area away from downtown proper).

and thanks for the info core about wildgoose I already emailed them, but i'm still trying to see what else is available. a wood floor is prefered as we have a few ladies (let's just say more mature than I) who worry about knee stress while dancing on floors other than wood.
Though as I said beggers can't be choosers.;-)
I'm going to check out a couple of the churches as well to see what their options are as well.

there is a dance studio here at junctionview. it is a large wood floored room and i think it has mirrors. i can put you in contact with the current tenants if you are interested, maybe you guys could work something out. i don't think they have classes on sunday afternoons.

I'm still looking.
WildGoose was a good idea though the ladies in my group are now insisting only for a wood floor.
Junction view studios have a non-removeable marley floor. not good for newline dancin.

So Location we are looking for: Clintonville area.
Time Frame we are looking for: Sundays (Once a month to start, then twice a month. Eventually weekly.) a 4 hour window btwn 2pm-8pm.

Yeah, Edie & I met you the one day awhile back. I actually wanted to use the space, but the older ladies in our group don't want a non wood floor due to the stress created on the knees when dancing on other flooring.
(I thought your space would have been perfect for our needs and costs) But I'm just one voice :-/ in our group. "one vote doesn't stand well when mine was the only one to use the space"
