I don't read many books these days, so I thought it was worth mentioning that I just read through Veins by local author Drew and really enjoyed it enough to read the whole thing in one sitting. It's the story of a large chunk of one man's life that alternates between endearing, hilariousness and dark depressing moments. I'm not very good at book reviews, so I'll just say that I highly recommended reading it if you're a fan of gallows humor, attempting to understand the misunderstood, and all things related to JimL2.

I'd have to say that this book was pretty strange.
Set in Columbus, it tells the story of a young M.R. who likes being called Dude, but ends up being nicknamed Veins in high school. Not a pretty nickname and most of his life isn't pretty.
It's kind of an endearing story, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. Reminds you to just be nice to people - you have no idea what the hell kind of backstory they have going on!
