Would it be an exaggeration to claim that a vegan driving everywhere in a Hummer does more good for the environment than an omnivore traveling everywhere via bicycling and walking?

Though I strive to bicycle, walk, and use public transit, instead of driving, I still have not managed to commute without my using my automobile at least some of the time, especially when I have sub teaching assignments 25-30 miles away.
By contrast, reducing my burden on Gaia via striving to be vegan has been head-over-shoulders easier than my attempts at minimal motoring. http://minimalmotoring.blogspot.com/
