I was going to post this story earlier from a different news source (WBNS) and talk about "perceived crime" a bit, as it was a recent topic on CU, but decided against it. But after I saw NBC4's headline, I couldn't resist. I assume they meant to say the "fetishist" surfaced, but this was just as good.
As an alternative talking point... why does the TV media latch onto this stuff so quickly? They've got investigative reports and quotes from the suspect online first thing Sunday morning. Does this require reporters to put in overtime? I can't imagine the phone call they get from their bosses to come into the office.

A man whose trial two years ago made public a long-held fetish for drinking the urine of young boys has surfaced again in the Columbus area. And according to complaints filed with Dublin police, his fetish still has him helpless to resist it.
Allan Patton, 54, told NBC 4’s Matt Alvarez in a phone call that he has been accused of things, but so far that’s all. So far Dublin police have charged Patton with a misdemeanor---criminal mischief. Official reports indicate he has been observed putting saran wrap on toilet seats in public sports-related venues with the apparent intent to drink any urine collected there.
Also, this quote from the WBNS article made me cringe a bit. Good thing the mother was anonymous, because her parenting style is probably going to leave her children with more emotional damage than this news would otherwise.
WBNS wrote "It's just devastating," said a Dublin mother of four, who requested anonymity. The woman said that instead of allowing her 9-year-old son to use a public restroom by himself, she will take him in the women's room with her.The mother said she wanted her son to see Patton's picture.
"I told him, 'I know you get very upset when I don't let you go in the bathroom by yourself. This is why. There's this man that's waiting in there for little boys to do terrible things to them.'" the mother said.
