The Franklinton Arts District would like to invite the Columbus underground community to the Urban Scrawl preview party and silent auction. The event will be held at COSI on the English plaza that faces east towards Genoa park and downtown. The event runs from 6pm till 8pm on weds august 20th. Cash bar and appetizers along with the sounds of DJ chewrocka.
Key speakers for the event include Bryan Knicely of the greater Columbus arts council, Jim Sweeney of the Franklinton development association, and Nikos Rutkowski president of the Franklinton arts district. There will also be an opportunity to bid on last years murals. Cant wait to see you all there!

IS at dodge park so there should be skating at that one.
It was previously held at Dodge Park near the skate park. Now it is a block north on the River at COSI. Enzo, you could easily walk down to the skate park and check it out from there.

sorry enzo, but no skate boarding at COSI... :cry: but there will be plenty of that at urban scrawl this year. also if anyone knows any bands we are looking for bands to play in sept at the event.

last year we had 25 4x8 foot panels. i think we had about 25 artist or so, nikos knows the numbers better than i. this year we plan on having 50 panels and we will also be doing a "living wall" exhibit being painted at the independents day fest.

COSI lots are fine. but there are tons of meters along belle and state streets. also on town st as well.

Nice job Franklin Arts District. Amazing to see those three on their best behavior. Everyone come out on Sept. 27, should be an amazing festival. Did you end up selling any of the art?

Yes one of the panels was auctioned off, (the one with the stars), the rest are still for sale I believe. If anyone is interested, make an offer (see email above) and I bet we can work something out.
Also, we're looking for sponsors for Urban Scrawl, if anyone is interested!
