Hey!

It's almost time for Urban Scrawl again! Please join us in beautiful Dodge Park in Franklinton for the 4th Annual Urban Scrawl Art Festival presented by the Franklinton Arts District!

Urban Scrawl Festival 2010 includes:
- 30+ artists painting live
- Live music performances by The DewDroppers,The Receiver, Maza Blaska,Behind You With Knives, The Ill Fits, Mojoflo, The Saturday Giant, and 0 To 60ish organized by the Columbus Music Co-op.
- A skateboarding competition
- Art and Craft Vendors
- Breakdancing by Shaolin Funk
- The Green Home Fair
- Food and Drink
- A kid's area
- And so much more!!!

And it's all FREE! 12-8 pm!
Dodge Park is located at 667 Sullivant Avenue

We are also still looking for some folks to help with set up and tear down, and a few other spots so if you're interested in helping out shoot me a pm or email emoore@franklinton.org

I need to go check it out! I drove by in anticipation but have yet to see the finished work.

The volunteer artists and musicians that come to Urban Scrawl are fantastic. They lend their talents to help us make this challenged community a better place. Of course the FAD board and other volunteers are great too. ItÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s actually quite a lot of hard work to move these giant paintings around before, after and in between the events!

And none of this would be possible without the continued support of the volunteers and staff of the United Way of Central Ohio and Columbus Foundation. Through the Neighborhood Partnership Grant (NPG) program the UWCO and CF have contributed significantly to each Urban Scrawl and GO WEST! event. NPG even helped get this art hung (Egner Construction, a proud Franklinton business and a great partner, took care of the rest). This is just one tiny example of the great work theyÃ¢â‚¬â„¢re doing all over the city.
