Here are other cities, large and small, that see why we need urban growth. The also see how transit options are a must for cities of the next century. I'm so sick of the midwest falling behind and essentially not caring that they are. Should we just pull a Detroit and downsize our cities? Should the midwest just turn into farm land? One ray of hope ... some of my friends are (were) diehard suburbanites, but after seeing what a strong urban core has to offer they're starting to sing a different toon.
