Years ago my grandfather was a security guard at a mattress factory. He often brought stuff home (rather klepto, in retrospect) and I have a bagfull of bobbins of thread they'd use to stitch the mattresses. Each is about seven inches tall, with varying amounts of thread, it would probably add up to a few thousand feet of thread.
I'm cleaning the basement, and this sort of stuff will get tossed out if I don't find someone who can use it.
I also have a huge amount of fabrics.
