I don't think this has been posted here yet. The video shows employees and the OWNER beating cows and calves, some bragging about the brutality on camera.
EDIT: May not be safe for work, or for the squeamish. Watch with caution:

Glad I drink Snowville. I know Taylor is good to his cows.
Well, now that's just pretty fucked up.
Despite the fact that these guys are inches away from becoming full on serial killers. You'd think it would be counterproductive to beat the shit out of your (literally) cash cows.
I don't even want to watch this. Factory farms are icky. I just told my 8 year old this morning that I buy the best milk I can get (Snowville), but that doesn't convince him that he should finish it before he goes to school..
I do doubt that this behavior is the norm. This guy clearly has anger issues and needs help.

I wish I could say that I haven't seen many videos like this from factory farms, but unfortunately that's not the case. I once saw a horrible video of an asshole farm worker throwing a young pig on the ground and then standing on the pigs side while the pig screamed and eventually was crushed to death. There's a special place in hell waiting for those kind of people.
Quote from Dr. Bernard Rollin, distinguished professor of animal science at Colorado State University.
"This is probably the most gratuitous, sustained, sadistic animal abuse I have ever seen. The video depicts calculated, deliberate cruelty, based not on momentary rage but on taking pleasure through causing pain to cows and calves who are defenseless."
Bolded text is my doing.
These types of acts, the taking pleasure in causing pain to others is a hallmark of sociopathic behavior.
quote taken from some psychology site"Signs of sociopathic behavior are usually present in childhood so take note if you witness this person torturing or killing animals, showing no emotions when something bad happens to someone else, or not showing any guilt or remorse for any of their actions."
These guys on the video are textbook sociopaths and I wouldn't want them around ANYONE I knew or otherwise. They're fucking bragging and laughing about mutilating these animals. Tire iron blows to the bridge of the nose will shatter even a cows thick skull.
Seriously, lock these guys up and get them into some psychoanalysis before they do some type of thrill-kill on children or something, 'cause that's their next step.
I know it's hard, the economy being what it is, or isn't, but we need to take action with our wallets by supporting those dairy and other farms that aren't like this.

I don't have a ton of experience with true factory dairy farms, but I know the two farms that were family operations (one was pretty damn big) and the other folks around us knew that treating the cows well = good milk production. Heck, my 8th grade education uncle figured out that playing music for the cows in the parlor increased milk production - he sure as heck wouldn't have harmed them.
It's a tough business - but (and I haven't watched the video, because I just don't need the additional soul scarring) true violence against working animals isn't the norm.

Absolutely +1.
Edit - I should point out, though, that Snowville doesn't own any cows themselves. I am acquainted with one of their primary raw milk suppliers, though, and couldn't emphasize enough how different they are from someone like Conklin.

Switching your dairy and your eggs to responsibly, humanely raised products is such an easy start. I feel good buying Snowville and 2Silos products knowing that the animals are treated as they should be. And they just taste way better too!
If what the video shows is true, then these sociopaths should be punished. It's absolutely disgusting. I'm certainly no fan of the radical animal rights agenda, but I'm also not going to condone animal abuse. And, it makes no sense to terrorize and abuse these animals because it hinders milk production.
Does anyone know which stores sell Conklin Dairy milk?
I just wish Snowville was in a couple more locations (thinking my nearest Giant Eagle). You can't swing a stick in some areas of town without hitting somewhere that carries it!

"The actions on the video speak for themselves," said Joe Cornely, spokesman for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. "I don't know any farmers who condone these type of actions. I haven't spoken to anyone this morning who condones these types of actions."Released to the Associated Press and on the group's website, the MFA video was deemed too graphic to be shown on at least one Columbus television news program. MFA says they have released the video to the Union County Prosecuting Attorney, who was not immediately available for comment this morning. Angry consumers and activists dominated the Prosecutor's Facebook page with comments demanding action and deploring the abuses shown on the video.
"Activists will spin this to tar the entire industry," Cornely said, "but we know that this video does not represent the vast majority of farmers." Comparing the video to cases of abused animals and horses, he pointed out that no one draws the conclusion that "all pet owners abuse their pets."
If the video from Conklin Dairy is accurate, then they've apparently violated Ohio's animal cruelty statutes and should be prosecuted appropriately.

All true.
I've worked with cows and farm animals on numerous occasions over the years and the farmer families and small producers who raise them for meat or milk. Relaxed cows produce more milk.
Stressed cows, and these animals are most certainly stressed, produce less to no milk.
The damned farm owner was filmed kicking them in the neck, you'd think he'd know better. It does seem like there was an atmosphere of unrepentant violence at this farm from the top down.
These animals are a commodity and whatever one's stance on animal products (meat, milk, whatever) this kind of shit makes no sense. Smashing up my car with a 2x4 before trying to sell it is a fair analogy but lacking the soullessness involved with the animal torture.

I too have seen some pretty heinous factory farm videos but I gotta say I think this one takes the cake. The sheer glee these guys on the video exhibit takes it to a whole other level.

I admit that I haven't watched this one. I've already seen too much I can't un-see. :-( I'll just take your word for it.
Use Snowville dairy products, and introduce your friends and family to them too.
