This Thursday, January 10 at 6 pm tune into 98.3/102.1 LPFM for the second edition of "Turn Me On."
In this week's show, host Jesse Barr sits down in the studio with friends Lindsay and Jayme to turn Columbus on to Radiohead. Listen for old favorites and new high-fidelity tracks from their album "In Rainbows," as well as amusing, if not insightful discussion about the lyrics, music and recording techniques.

Now wait a second. I love being turned on as much as the next person. But at this point, hasn't every man, woman, child, vertebrate, monera, protista, rock, and subatomic particle been "turned on" to Radiohead?

When's the last time you heard an hour of music from Europe's finest musicians on your radio dial? Uninterrupted by commercials. Complete with discussion from local musicians.
One of the goals of this week's program is to remind listeners of the poetry within Radiohead's music. Also, a lot of people have been casting off "In Rainbows" for whatever reasons. We're here to turn you on to the new album. And if you already like it - why complain? I love turning on the radio only to find my favorite musicians crooning away.
PS - if you have any ideas for an upcoming show, fire away! This is just the beginning...

I, for one, would love a Ph.D in Radiohead studies... hehe but really there's quite a bit to study in a lot of music. That's a really great idea for something to do for people over the airwaves, that's for sure... and I wouldn't hear that anywhere else for sure.
