You know what would be fantastic?
If someone brought a big delivery consisting of a variety of reasonable used items. These items were placed around the swap... and taken home by a number of different people.
But the person who had brought these items had concealed moderate amounts of raw hamburger in each- strategically and not too much so that the meat wouldn't leak, but enough so that over time it would begin to rot and stink. Like inside a VCR or set of speakers... or in the lining of a suitcase or duffle bag.
So, there would be dozens of different items all spread out over the city with timed stink bombs in them- stinking to high hell when the meat eventually rotted.
That would be fantastic. I'm not going to do this, it's just the stuff I think about.

Items range across the board and changes every event. Mostly useful items. Some junk. Lots of clothes. Bikes, sporting gear, electronics, kitchen items, small furniture, shoes, clothes... We try to screen things as they come in at a reasonable level. People bring whole truckloads in. People take whole truckloads out. Whatever is left over is donated to the Kidney Foundation.
