Core hasn't started one of these in awhile, so I thought I would. ;)

Some of my picks:

Year One - For some reason this reminds me a lot of an old Mel Brooks parody. Which is a very good things since most parody movies these days end up looking like Date Movie and Meet the Spartans. Solid comedic cast too. Hooray for David Cross & Michael Cera.

Mutant Chronicles - Hrm. Films based on role playing games usually don't turn out well, but the "Left Behind" clip has got my interest. Not completely sold yet though.

Is Anybody There? - Awww... cute old grandpa Michael Caine.

Away We Go - Pretty solid cast. Looks like it has some potential.

Where the Wild Things Are - Probably going to be highly talked about this year, and I bet will end up being a "love it or hate it" type of film. Put me in the optimistic camp though due to Spike Jonze and Jim Henson Creature Shop.

The Hangover - Normally a mashup of "Very Bad Things" and "Dude Where's My Car" would sound like a bad idea, but with Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis running the show, I'll probably make time for this one.

Drag me to Hell - Sam Raimi. Horror. Nuff said.

Anyone have any thoughts on any of these? Or did I overlook any?

Mutant Chronicles played at the Sci-Fi Marathon. Liked it more than I thought I would. Couldn't tell how much CGI was used in the backgrounds, but it looked more realistic than either Sin City or Sky Captain.

I'm hoping Away We Go will be good. I might see Year One as well.

awesome, i love trailers! movie night at my place is proceeded by viewing of the newest and coolest trailers in HD through a flash drive on my 360. technology! unrelated to the topic here, does anyone use tversity with their 360? can't get mine to work... moving on...

mutant chron's: looks over the top cheeeeeesey. perlman acts like he's doing shakespeare in the park and the cgi looks like a ps2 game. but i'll see it.

where the wild things: now THAT is an emotive trailer!

here are a few of my current favorites (links to apple trailer pages):

inglourious basterds: yeah dude! there are early reports of nazi blood splattered all over this one.

up: the dog and the gobble-gobbley bird thing RULE

sleep dealer: near future, nearly sci-fi from mexico. looks like the imagination has surpassed the fx budget in some places, but still captivating

pandorum: good old fashioned "weird sh*t going on in a deserted space ship" stuff here. ...and holy CRAP that freaky little creature thing they flash is uh, freaky.
